We're coming up to a new 'first' tomorrow, but not one of the good ones. We took Nate to the emergency room on Christmas Eve, where he was diagnosed with an inguinal hernia. After a consultation with a surgeon, Nathan is scheduled for surgery .... tomorrow morning.

After doing quite a bit of research on my own and talking to the surgeon and a few nurses, I feel somewhat at ease. Like the tiniest little amount. Nate's surgery is a very common and low-risk procedure. That being said, any surgery has risks and anesthesia on my little guy is pretty scary. Prayers and happy thoughts for us tomorrow, please!

I hope this little one gets a lot of rest during his post-op healing. I have no idea how we're going to keep him still!
