memorial day weekend.

What a great weekend! Memorial Day weekend 2011 was jam packed with cookouts, the National Zoo, and time with our family and friends. Chris's parents had a BBQ on Saturday, we went to the National Zoo on Sunday morning (very humid!), and had our 3rd Annual Memorial Day cookout at our house! I added it up and, unless I missed someone, we had 29 people here yesterday - what a crowd!

5k walk.

My friends, Nathan, and I did a 5k diabetes walk last weekend in Washington, D.C. in and around the National's baseball stadium.  It was a warm day, but we all made it! Here are a few pictures from that day:

nine months.

Nate is a busy little boy! He crawls everywhere and is nearly walking. He had his nine month appointment last week and his current measurements are:

 22 lbs, 8 oz.
30 inches long

new camera.

We finally got a new camera over the weekend! Chris and I have been talking about getting a nice digital SLR, especially for photos of Nathan! We bought a Canon Rebel T3i.  I'm not sure how to use it, but Chris is patient with me.  My goal is to actually read the user manual and know what all the buttons do :)  To try it out, we took a little family outing to Old Town on Saturday morning. We stopped by the Farmer's Market and then took a few pics at the 'retired' caboose.

Nate got to see the Easter Bunny for the first time last weekend!  I was so happy that he gave us a nice smile!  He looks so much older in this picture than almost nine months.
