eight months.

Word of the month: mobility!

In the last month, Nate has learned how to crawl, scoot, pull himself up to standing, and start inching around using tables, the couch and anything else he can get his his hands on. Let me tell you, he is getting into everything! Sometimes I feel like he is making a mental list of all the things he wants to get into when he starts walking (which won't be too long!).

I can't believe my little baby is eight months old already! This time last year, we were frantically getting everything ready to move into our new house so that we could prepare for the arrival of our little boy. Here are a few shots from his monthly pictures:

happy birthday surgery.

Chris sure knows how to celebrate! This year, his big birthday bash included anesthesia, a ruptured disc, and surgery! In all seriousness, he was one miserable pup.  I told him that perhaps the biggest gift of all would be no more pain.

Even though he was in the hospital on his big day, I thought that everyone was really great about remembering his birthday. The nurses sang happy birthday to him in the operating room, another nurse sang it in a Marilyn Monroe style (umm?!) in the recovery room, and still yet another sang to him in Filipino.  I tried to make sure that he was all decked out :)
